Pelvic floor issues are common but don’t have to be normal. Most people don't realize how many options there are to treat and resolve the pain, discomfort and underlying problems that come along with the pelvic floor.
Women end up suffering for years thinking that it's just a normal part of "post baby" life, never really feeling like we got our bodies back.
We want to help you build a strong foundation to your body, regain control and solve the root cause of your issues & pain. We specialize in helping women strengthen their pelvic floors, fix the root cause of their issues and regain the confidence to return to exercise and thrive in life again.
"I chose Pelvic Health Foundations because I heard great things from a neighbor. At Foundations I got a full 75 minute evaluation and Carly was a true expert and relatable mom. She didn't rush the therapy and gave me a great plan that actually worked."

"As a new mom, I struggled with pelvic pain and weakness after giving birth. Dr. Carly's personalized physical therapy sessions and gentle guidance helped me regain my strength and confidence."
Felt actual support

Tailored results
"I can't thank Pelvic Health Foundations enough! The tailored programs and pelvic health advice gave me the tools I needed to stay comfortable and confident throughout my pregnancy."
There's a wide range of treatment options when it comes to pelvic health, and expertise varies. Some PTs specialize in ankles and shoulders but take a weekend course and then begin treating pelvic floor health. Some clinics will pass you off to an aide, where you'll spend weeks without results and end up thinking "pelvic therapy just didn't work for me." You deserve a dedicated physical therapist that specializes in women's pelvic floor health that will not only resolve your pain but find the "why" and get you back to doing what you love!
"This was exactly the jump start I needed to begin making the healthier lifestyle choices I've been meaning to make since becoming a Mom. Carly gives expert guidance and teaches proper technique with modifications. This is exactly what my body needed."
As a mother herself, Carly combines her medical expertise with a deep understanding of the physical and emotional journey of motherhood to provide compassionate, effective care for women in all stages of pregnancy and postpartum.
At Pelvic Health Foundations, we understand the unique challenges that women face during pregnancy and postpartum. Pelvic health issues can be complex. Dr. Carly Oberbeck has dedicated her career to women's pelvic health. It's all we do.
At Foundations Pelvic Health you will always be seen by Dr. Carly herself. We don't shuffle you off to an aide or double book appointments. When we are treating you, your care comes first.
We believe in full 75 minute consultations and hour long sessions with our doctor. It's the gold standard of physical therapy and we make sure that you get it.
Pelvic floor physical therapy is not just about doing a few exercises. It's about finding the root cause, educating you as our patient and then helping you find lasting relief. Believe it or not, we want to help you find permanent relief so that you don't need our help anymore!
Not only do we offer private physical therapy, we are one of the only practices in Nashville to offer small group classes for postpartum women (under the guidance of a DPT). Our 6 week class meets twice per week and we focus on helping your body return to exercise!

Unfortunately it's more common to normalize the problems that come with pelvic floor issues and live with them, than it is to understand all the solutions that are available. 15% of all American women suffer from pelvic pain and over a third are affected by pelvic floor disorders. That number grows to 50% in women over the age of 55.
