How We Work With You

STEP 1: Phone Consultation

We start with a simple phone call to get to know you, the issues that you are experiencing and answer any questions that you might have.

STEP 2: In Person Evaluation

If we determine that physical therapy is the right option, we will meet in person for a private evaluation. Evaluations normally take 90 minutes and can be done at our private studio, or at your home.

STEP 3: Plan of Care

After determining the root cause of your pain or discomfort, we will come up with the appropriate plan of care and work with you in 60 minute sessions.

STEP 4: Continued Support

As a patient of Pelvic Health Foundations we want to give you a place to call home! Even after your pain is gone we would love to work with you to return to full levels of exercise and can introduce you to our small group classes for women who want to build functional strength and endurance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need physical therapy?

Physical therapy is a great option for most pre and postpartum women, not just for those who have specific pain. Everybody can benefit from physical therapy, and we are more than happy to connect with you for a phone consultation to decide if we can help your specific needs.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

You do not need a Doctors referral, however we will communicate with your physician(s) regarding your care at our clinic so everyone is on the same page about your progress and your doctor is in the loop.

Will this help strengthen my pelvic floor?

Yes, absolutely! At Pelvic Health Foundations we specialize in treating the pelvic floor and will work with you specifically on a strengthening program.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies for each person depending on their needs. During our initial consultation, Dr. Oberbeck will come up with a plan of care for you and go through the different options.

Is physical therapy expensive?

Physical Therapy is not expensive, and we believe it should be in the budget for every pre and postpartum mom. This is a critical part of your health and wellness.

Do You Offer At Home Visits?

Yes! We offer physical therapy either at your own home, or at our clinic in East Nashville. Please contact us to go over the options and our availability.
